NSE does not publish application counts for mainboard issues; the registrar's basis of allotment gives them after bidding closes.
The chance of getting the minimum allotment
Where a category is oversubscribed, the registrar draws lots: each successful application gets the minimum and no more. So the chance is the number of minimum applications the category can fill, divided by the applications received.
| Category | Minimum application | Minimums available | Applications | Chance, from the bid book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Retail | 150 shares · ₹14,850 | 33,366 | not published | at least 1 in 1.70 |
| Non-institutional, ₹2 to 10 lakh | 2,100 shares · ₹2,07,900 | 340 | not published | at least 1 in 1.54 |
| Non-institutional, above ₹10 lakh | 10,200 shares · ₹10,09,800 | 140 | not published | at least 1 in 1.70 |
Arithmetic on the bid book, not a view on the shares. Where applications are not published, the figure is a floor ("at least"): shares bid ÷ the minimum application is the most applications there can be. Invalid and duplicate bids are removed before the draw, so the real ratio is usually better. The minimum application is at the upper end of the price band. Method: how the chance is worked out.
