How an SME company moves to the main board

  1. The board approves the move, subject to shareholders and the exchange.
  2. Shareholders vote on a special resolution, by postal ballot or at a general meeting, and the result is filed.
  3. The company applies to the exchange, with the reports the exchange asks for.
  4. The exchange gives in-principle approval, then sets the date from which the shares trade on the main board.

SME shares trade in lots (see every SME stock's lot size); on the main board they trade one share at a time. A company that may meet the main board's conditions is not listed here until it files.

From the companies' filings on NSE and BSE since May 2025; where a filing's title does not say the step, its PDF is read. Filing titles are as the company gave them. The exchange's own notice is final on dates.
