What does Sat Kartar Life do? Business, products and customers
Sat Kartar Life, earlier called Sat Kartar Shopping, offers Ayurvedic capsules, powders and oils straight to people at home. Buyers see an advertisement on television, Google, YouTube or Meta, call in, and speak to an advisor in their own language. Orders go out by private couriers and by India Post, which reaches villages that couriers do not.
Most products are made by contract manufacturers under the company's own formulas; the offer document names six such agreements. Since late 2025 the company also runs a small capsule and powder unit of its own, which it says will make no more than half of its capsules. Advertising takes about 40% of sales, the company told investors in May 2026.
South India gave 57.6% of sales in FY26 and Tamil Nadu alone 22%. In March 2026 the company opened a 30 bed Ayurveda hospital, Sat Kartar Sanjeevan, in Delhi, and it has since started a United States subsidiary. It runs a lower priced nutraceutical range through its subsidiary Ajooni Life Sciences and a diabetes range through Plantomed.

Sat Kartar Life study: what the filings say about the business
Read from 14 of the company's own documents
1Is it a good business?
Sat Kartar Life earns by advertising Ayurvedic remedies and turning callers into customers through a large team of advisors who speak their language.
Its weak spot is that every sale costs a lot of advertising, and the new hospital business is still early and not yet paying its way.
The average order has crept up, but the company needs heavy advertising to win each sale.
The evidence
Average order above ₹3,250 against about ₹3,100 at listing; advertising about 40% of sales, which the company expects to stay near that level.
Earnings call transcript, May 2026, p.5, p.8 and p.10Its edge is a multilingual call centre and delivery deep into rural India, but Ayurvedic formulas cannot be owned.
The evidence
The offer document says no intellectual property can be owned on Ayurveda products as they come from the Charak Samhita; the company serves more than 11,600 pincodes in 10+ languages.
Offer document, p.141; Investor presentation, November 2025, p.10Many individual people across India, with no single large customer; sales lean towards the South.
The evidence
South India 57.6% and Tamil Nadu 22% of FY26 sales; 25% to 26% of customers order again.
Annual report FY26, p.20; Earnings call transcript, May 2026, p.8The product business needs little equipment, but the hospital plan needs fresh money for beds and working capital.
The evidence
The capsule and powder unit cost about ₹1 cr to ₹1.25 cr; the company puts hospital cost at ₹0.07 cr to ₹0.08 cr a bed including working capital and raised ₹48.6 cr in 2026.
Earnings call transcript, May 2026, p.6 and p.12; Press release, May 2026, p.3There is no order book; each month's sales come from that month's advertising and the leads it brings.
The evidence
About 25,000 new leads a day and a database of 30 million+ consumers; the company converts only about a tenth of its leads.
Investor presentation, November 2025, p.7; Earnings call transcript, November 2025, p.6Sales have grown each year, but outside events such as a slowdown or a delivery partner's problems can hit a half year.
The evidence
The company said a slowdown around the 2025 conflict cost about ₹6 cr of sales, and an India Post software problem held back payments for about 45 days.
Earnings call transcript, November 2025, p.5Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; it is not a view on the shares.
2What do the numbers say?
Sales and profit have risen every year since listing, and profit margins have widened as fixed costs are spread over more sales.
The latest half year was stronger than the one before it on both sales and margins.
Profit did not turn into cash in the latest year, as money went into amounts owed by delivery partners, stock, the factory and the hospital.
- Whether the Delhi hospital reaches the ₹0.01 cr a day of revenue the company gives as its break-even level.
- The plan to reach 300 hospital beds by FY27, with sites in Tamil Nadu and Visakhapatnam under study as of May 2026.
- The company's goal of ₹300 cr of product sales in FY27.
- Sales from the United States subsidiary, which started operations in June 2026.
