About Finbud Financial Services: business, products and customers
Finbud Financial Services, known as Finance Buddha, helps people find personal, business, home and gold loans from banks and finance companies, through a large network of loan agents and its own app. The lenders pay it a fee on each loan, it has started lending a little itself, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.
Finbud, based in Bengaluru, is a loan marketplace. Agents and its own digital channel bring in borrowers, Finbud screens them and passes each file to one of more than 100 banks and NBFCs on its panel, and the lender pays a commission when the loan is paid out. More than ₹10,250 cr of loans went through the platform in FY26.
The agent business, under the Finance Buddha brand, earned about ₹273 cr in FY26, but close to 90% of that commission is passed on to the agents. The digital business, now in a subsidiary called ZAP, earned about ₹41 cr and keeps much more of each rupee; it added gold loans in FY26 and an embedded health cover product.

Lending is new. The NBFC subsidiary LTCV Credit, branded EQUALL, began personal loans after the RBI approved its Managing Director and CEO, and had a loan book of ₹15.9 cr at June 2026. The shares listed on NSE Emerge in November 2025.
From the red herring prospectus (October 2025), the December 2025 and May 2026 earnings calls, the FY26 investor presentation, the FY26 annual report and the company's announcements of December 2025 and June 2026.

Is it a good business? Six questions
Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.
Finbud earns a one time fee from lenders on each loan it brings them, keeping a small slice of agent business and a larger slice of digital business.
Its weak spots are thin margins set by the market, money tied up in advances to agents, and a new lending arm that will need capital.
WatchCan it set its own prices? No. Lenders set the commission and agents move for a few paise, so the agent side earns what the market allows.
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? It is one of the larger loan aggregators and has a big base of past applicants to target, but rivals offline and online are moving into each other's ground.
AverageWho are its customers? The lenders pay, and more than a hundred are on the panel, but a few large ones give about half the revenue.
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?More than a pure middleman would: it lends to its agents to help them grow, waits to be paid by lenders, and its NBFC now needs capital to lend.
StrongCan it keep finding new work?Loans through the platform keep growing, and it has shown it can add a new loan type to its existing customers quickly.
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot? Most revenue comes from personal loans, so the business moves with how freely banks and NBFCs lend unsecured money.
