About Digikore Studios: business, products and customers
Digikore Studios is a Pune visual effects studio whose artists clean up, cut out and finish shots for Hollywood films and streaming series. It also makes sponsored shows for Indian streaming and its own animated film, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.
Digikore began in Pune in 2000 doing animation work, moved into visual effects for Hollywood films and series in 2011, and has since been cleared by studios and platforms such as Disney and Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Warner Bros., Paramount and Lionsgate. Its artists do rotoscoping, clean-up, camera tracking, digital sets and compositing, and the company says most of its work is now episodic series. Smaller lines include sponsored shows on JioHotstar, digital sets sold for virtual production, AI tools and an AI-assisted animated film, Kingdom Games.
The company bills per shot or per project, sometimes directly to the studio and sometimes as overflow work from larger effects houses; the managing director said direct work rose to about half in FY26. Almost all revenue comes from abroad while the cost is mainly Indian salaries, and the offer document cites an Indian artist costing about one eighth of one in the UK or North America. A Canadian subsidiary, Effets Visual Digikore, booked a large part of FY26 revenue on figures the auditor did not audit.
Read more about the business
Work comes in waves with Hollywood production: the Hollywood writers' and actors' strikes cut man days and revenue in FY25 before work returned in FY26. Studios pay slowly, so money owed to the company has built up close to a full year of sales, funded largely with short term borrowings and promoter loans.
The offer document compares Digikore with Phantom Digital Effects and Prime Focus, listed Indian visual effects companies that supply artist time to film and series makers; Prime Focus is far larger. Basilic Fly Studio, also listed on NSE Emerge, does similar outsourced work for the same streaming platforms.
From the offer document (prospectus, 2023), the investor presentations of June and November 2025, the November 2025 earnings call, the FY26 result filing and the company's announcements to September 2026.

Digikore Studios debt and cash flow
Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capitalThe company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. Its loans are now larger than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.
Bars below the line are cash going out.

What the company said, and what happened
The company's own statements, attributed, set against what it later reported; not newboard's estimates
In the November 2025 call the managing director said the company is committed to sustaining revenue growth of more than 30% a year over the next few years, that visual effects margins should settle a little lower as rivals cut rates, and that newer lines such as brand jingles, software and virtual production assets should lift overall margins. In April 2026 the company said several FY27 projects were already signed and that it expects 2026 and 2027 to be a peak period for visual effects demand. Project Abhimanyu, launched in February 2026, is a 12 to 18 month plan to strengthen the balance sheet, including promoter loan conversion and bringing in a strategic investor through a promoter share sale.

Is it a good business? Six questions
Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.
Digikore earns money by billing the time of Indian artists to Hollywood studios and streaming platforms, at a fraction of what the same work costs abroad.
Its weak spots are dependence on Hollywood's production cycle, clients that pay very slowly, rising borrowings, and accounts the exchange has queried, with subsidiary figures left unaudited.
WatchCan it set its own prices? After the strikes many studios competed for scarce work, and Digikore cut rates to win projects.
AverageHow strong is it against rivals?Studio approvals and security audits take years to earn and keep some rivals out, but many studios compete on price.
AverageWho are its customers?Big Hollywood studios and platforms, either directly or through larger effects houses, with concentration falling.
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Slow paying clients tie up nearly a year of sales, so the company leans on borrowings and promoter money.
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Work has returned since the strikes and the company is pushing into Europe, but the order book covers only a few months.
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Revenue follows Hollywood's production cycle, so a strike or slowdown hits hard and fast.
