About E Factor Experiences: business, products and customers
E Factor Experiences plans and runs large festivals, light and sound shows, museums and eco-retreat camps, mostly for state and central government tourism departments, and also runs hot air balloon rides. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.
E Factor Experiences was set up in Delhi in 2003 and designs and runs large public experiences: tourism festivals, eco-retreat camps in Odisha, light and sound and multimedia shows, museums and cultural centres, sporting event production, and weddings and private celebrations. Recent work includes the interiors, content and visitor journey of the India Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, bid jointly with a Tata company, and four gateways into Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh. Its subsidiary E-Factor Adventure Tourism runs Sky Waltz, a government approved hot air balloon and yacht operator based in Jaipur.
Most work comes from state and central government tourism bodies through tenders, usually at a fixed price, and the company hires décor, lighting, production and other services from outside vendors, so most of what it bills goes out again as cost of services. It bills after an event is delivered, usually without an advance, and much of the year's billing falls in the last two months, so the first half is small and unpaid bills swell at every March close. Management puts gross margins at 15% to 27%, thinner on big custom projects, and says the need for working capital will not fall until governments pay faster.
Read more about the business
The company is moving towards permanent projects such as museums, interpretation centres and ecotourism sites it also operates, and towards its own shows, Shiva Immersive and a Bridal Retreat. After FY26 it won a museum and statue project at Wardha from the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and an ecotourism project at Kanjli Wetlands in Punjab with five years of operation, and signed DS Group as a sponsor of Shiva Immersive. Management also says it will return to wedding planning, which it had scaled back in recent years.
The offer document compares the company with Touchwood Entertainment, a listed event management company, as its only listed peer. Management says no listed company in India does the same mix of tourism projects, cultural infrastructure and its own shows.
From the offer document (October 2023), the FY24 annual report, the earnings calls of June 2025, November 2025 and June 2026, and NSE filings up to September 2026.
Read the deeper study ↓In its favour
- It earns a high return on the money it uses: ROCE 27% in FY26.
- The promoters own a large part of the company: 69.56%.
- It paid a dividend in the past year.
To watch
- The FY27 revenue aim of ₹300 cr to ₹325 cr and the ₹35 cr of postponed events due in the second half (earnings call, June 2026, p.11 and p.12).
- Cases pending at the offer document: a GST show cause notice of about ₹1.8 cr, the company's contempt case to recover ₹11.34 cr of admitted dues from Andhra Pradesh, and a rival bidder's writ against its Odisha eco-retreat tender (offer document, p.180 to 181).
- Promoter holding: the promoters sold shares in FY25, which the Managing Director called a one-off to meet earlier personal commitments; the late Aruna Garg's shares passed to Samit Garg in 2026 (earnings call, June 2025, p.11; NSE filings, Feb and Mar 2026).
- Audit and filing record: auditors noted irregular deposit of statutory dues before the IPO and delays in many cases in FY24; the offer document lists past ROC filing lapses; NSE sought clearer H1 FY26 results in January 2026 (offer document, p.29, p.33; annual report FY24, p.79).
- Customers take longer to pay than before: 199 days in FY26, against 142 in FY19.

E Factor Experiences revenue and profit growth
Half-yearly results · Profit and lossSales have grown steadily. Last year profit fell even as sales rose, so the company kept less from each rupee of sales.
SME companies report every six months. In the latest half, sales were lower than in the same half a year before. Profit grew more slowly than sales, so each rupee of sales left a little less profit.

E Factor Experiences debt and cash flow
Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capitalThe company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It borrowed much more last year. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business brought in less cash than it showed as profit, so part of the profit is still to be collected. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.
Bars below the line are cash going out.

What the company said, and what happened
The company's own statements, attributed, set against what it later reported; not newboard's estimates
In June 2026 the company said it was bidding for a pipeline of ₹500 cr to ₹550 cr for FY27 and aimed for revenue of ₹300 cr to ₹325 cr, at least 60% of that pipeline, with a confirmed order book of about ₹80 cr to ₹82 cr at the time. It said the ₹35 cr of events postponed from FY26 would come in the second half of FY27, that EBITDA margin should settle near 14.5%, that the private sector should give about a quarter of FY27 revenue, and that weddings could bring in more than ₹100 cr a year within three years.
| What management said | When | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue of about ₹250 cr in FY26 | Earnings calls, June 2025 and November 2025 | ₹191.4 cr, after two events were postponed |
| Year on year growth near 35% | Annual report FY24 | FY25 revenue grew about 15% and FY26 revenue 11.5% |
Is it a good business? Six questions
Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.
E Factor earns by designing and running big events and cultural sites, mostly for government tourism bodies, and has kept its margins steady as it grew.
Its weak spots are a heavy reliance on government clients who pay slowly, little work confirmed far ahead, and sales that have fallen short of its own aims.
AverageCan it set its own prices? Most work is won in tenders where price decides once bidders qualify, and contracts are mostly fixed price, yet margins have held steady.
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? Two decades of references and awards help it qualify for government tenders, but the offer document says the industry has no entry barriers.
WatchWho are its customers?A handful of government tourism departments give most of the revenue, and they pay slowly.
WatchDoes it need a lot of money? It needs little machinery, but unpaid government bills tie up a lot of cash, partly paid for with short term borrowing.
AverageCan it keep finding new work?It keeps winning new government projects and is moving into museums and sites it also runs, but confirmed orders cover well under a year of sales.
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot? Results bunch into the second half and slip when events are postponed or governments change.
