About Global Longlife Hospital and Research: business, products and customers

Global Longlife Hospital and Research ran a multi speciality hospital in Ahmedabad, but it no longer earns money from patients and now plans to change its name and move into trading farm produce, textiles and metals. Its shares trade on BSE SME.

At its 2022 listing the company ran Global Hospital at Bodakdev, Ahmedabad, a hospital it owned, with medical and surgical specialities, an accreditation from NABH and an open model in which any doctor with more than three years of experience could admit patients there. Revenue came from patients' bills, and most doctors worked as visiting consultants rather than employees.

That business has wound down. Revenue from operations fell to almost nothing in FY25 and to nil in FY26; the registered office moved out of the hospital building to an office in Ahmedabad in October 2024; and the company had three permanent employees at March 2026. The readable pages of the annual reports do not say what became of the hospital itself.

Read more about the business

In FY25 the company still reported a small profit only because of a large one-time other income, and in FY26, with no revenue, it reported a loss. The board now proposes a new name (Kanzi, Asahi or Siddhaa Enterprise) and new objects covering trading of food grains, oilseeds, cotton, textiles and gold and silver, saying it plans a new line of business.

The offer document said it competed with large corporate hospitals, single speciality hospitals and clinics in Ahmedabad; it named no listed peers. Listed SME hospitals in Gujarat such as Aashka Hospitals, KK Shah Hospitals and Broach Lifecare Hospital run the kind of business it used to run.

From the offer document (Prospectus, April 2022), the FY25 and FY26 annual reports and the Regulation 29 disclosure of 25 September 2026.

In its favour

  • It brings in more cash than it shows as profit: ₹12.3 cr against ₹0.2 cr in FY25.
  • It has little debt for its size: debt to equity 0.00.

To watch

  • Approval of the new name and objects, and what the extraordinary general meeting noticed on 7 October 2026 is for (Annual report FY26, p.6 to 7; Announcement, 7 October 2026, subject line only).
  • The first revenue from the planned trading business (Annual report FY26, p.16).
  • Use of the money held in current assets at March 2026 (Annual report FY26, p.53).
  • Further changes in large holdings after the Kamdar HUF purchase of September 2026 (Regulation 29(1) disclosure, 25 September 2026).
  • Customers take longer to pay than before: 377 days in FY25, against 95 in FY19.

From the company's documents first, then the reported figures read by fixed rules, the same for every company. Facts, not a view on the shares.

A tax rate above 60% or below zero (FY20, FY21, FY25) comes from tax charged on a small or negative profit, as reported.

Earnings per share before FY25 is on the share count of that time, before later bonus or share issues, so it does not compare with the years after.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

The company listed as a hospital but no longer earns anything from patients, and it now plans to become a trading company in farm goods, textiles and metals.

What remains is a balance sheet of mostly current assets, a tiny staff and a new business that has not started.

WatchCan it set its own prices? With no revenue there are no prices to set, and the planned trading in commodities is a business where market prices rule.
The evidence. Revenue from operations was nil in FY26; the new objects cover trading in grains, oilseeds, cotton, textiles and bullion.Annual report FY26, p.7 and p.29
WatchHow strong is it against rivals?Even as a running hospital it faced larger chains, and it now has no operating business to defend.
The evidence. The offer document said it competed with large corporate hospitals, some with greater resources; FY26 revenue was nil.Offer document, p.27; Annual report FY26, p.29
WatchWho are its customers?Patients were its customers; today it has none, and the filings name no customers for the new trading plans.
The evidence. The company reports a single segment, healthcare and hospital, with nil revenue in FY26.Annual report FY26, p.51
AverageDoes it need a lot of money? It has no borrowings to service and most of its net worth sits in current assets, so the question is how that money will be used.
The evidence. Finance costs fell to almost nil in FY26 and the current ratio was over a thousand times at March 2026.Annual report FY26, p.29 and p.53
WatchCan it keep finding new work?No new work is in hand; the company has only stated that it plans a new line of business.
The evidence. Reasons given for the loss: a fall in turnover; steps proposed: a change of objects and name and a new line of business.Annual report FY26, p.16
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot? Results have swung from steady hospital revenue to nothing, and one year's profit rested on one-time income.
The evidence. Revenue fell from ₹13.5 cr in FY24 to ₹0.58 cr in FY25 and nil in FY26, while FY25 other income was ₹5.0 cr.Annual report FY25, p.16; Annual report FY26, p.29
