About Infollion Research Services: business, products and customers

Infollion runs an expert network: it finds senior industry people and sets up paid calls, training and short projects between them and consulting firms, investment funds and companies that need their knowledge. It is based in Gurugram and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Clients such as management consulting firms, private equity and hedge funds and mid sized companies come to Infollion with a question; its research team finds suitable experts from its vetted network, checks them for conflicts and arranges the call or engagement. Most money comes from these expert calls, with smaller lines in knowledge tours, sit-ins, webinars, temporary senior staff and, since FY26, a training business called Huksa.

The company is a middleman, so revenue is the fee it bills the client and its largest cost is the fee it pays the expert; what is left, the gross margin, was about 41% in FY26. It owns no plant and rents its offices, so it needs little capital, holds cash rather than debt, and grows mainly by adding people in research, sales and new countries.

Read more about the business

Almost all revenue is billed in India, but more than a third of the work now uses experts based outside India, and the company has started selling in the US and the Middle East. It says it is evaluating two to three acquisitions with its cash.

The offer document names its competitors: global expert networks GLG, AlphaSights, Insight Alpha and Guidepoint for expert calls, and staffing firms Randstad, Adecco, TeamLease and Quess for temporary staffing.

From the offer document, the April 2026 investor presentation and results commentary, and the April 2026 earnings call.

In its favour

  • Sales have grown fast: 43% a year over three years.
  • It earns a high return on the money it uses: ROCE 29% in FY26.
  • It has little debt for its size: debt to equity 0.00.

To watch

  • Call volumes after the March 2026 slowdown; the managing director said April 2026 was back only at the same per day level (Earnings call, April 2026, p.5).
  • The two to three acquisition targets the company says it has evaluated with its cash (Results commentary, April 2026, p.5).
  • US hiring, which the managing director tied to reaching about ₹8 cr to ₹10 cr of US revenue (Earnings call, April 2026, p.9).
  • Technology team salaries now being capitalised, which will run through the profit and loss once the platform moves to maintenance (Earnings call, April 2026, p.17; Results commentary, April 2026, p.5).
  • It paid no dividend in the past year.

Sales have grown fast. Last year profit grew more slowly than sales, so the profit kept from each rupee of sales slipped.

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It has almost no borrowings. Last year the business brought in less cash than it showed as profit, so part of the profit is still to be collected. Customers take about as long to pay as they did in FY24.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Infollion earns a fee each time it connects a client with the right expert, needs almost no capital and sits on cash with no debt.

Its weak spots are a small number of clients bringing most of the revenue and a business that slows when consulting firms and funds slow.

AverageCan it set its own prices? The managing director says clients care more about the right expert than small price changes, but the company chose to give away calls and waive fees to win and keep clients, and its margin fell.
The evidence. Gross margin fell from 44% to 41% in FY26, about ₹3 cr, from free scoping calls and end of project fee waivers in a multi vendor setup. The managing director called the business not very price sensitive. Results commentary, April 2026, p.3; Earnings call, April 2026, p.6 to 7
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? It says it leads the India market, but it faces large global expert networks and clients often use several vendors at once.
The evidence. The offer document names GLG, AlphaSights, Insight Alpha and Guidepoint as competitors. The managing director said Infollion is probably equal to the next two or three Indian players combined.Offer document, p.144; Earnings call, April 2026, p.13
WatchWho are its customers?Consulting firms, investment funds and companies, with a handful of them bringing in most of the money.
The evidence. The top five clients gave 80.38% and the top ten 87.76% of FY23 revenue. The FY25 annual report says revenue is highly dependent on a limited number of clients.Offer document, p.144; Annual report FY25, p.41
StrongDoes it need a lot of money?Very little: it rents offices and computers, has no borrowings, and its cash pile grew in FY26.
The evidence. The offer document describes an asset light model. Cash and equivalents were ₹43.5 cr at March 2026 with no borrowings, and operating cash flow was ₹10.51 cr in FY26.Offer document, p.142; Investor presentation, April 2026, p.27; Results commentary, April 2026, p.4
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Calls and the expert pool keep growing and new lines have started, but client demand softened late in FY26 and the new lines are still small.
The evidence. Expert calls rose to 20,736 in FY26, but March 2026 volumes were 20% to 25% below earlier months. Huksa, US and Middle East revenue each passed ₹1 cr.Investor presentation, April 2026, p.5 and p.23; Results commentary, April 2026, p.3
AverageDo good and bad years swing a lot?Demand follows how busy consulting firms, private equity and public market funds are, so a slow spell for them shows up quickly in call volumes.
The evidence. The managing director called the company a derivative of strategy consulting, private equity investment and public market funds, and said clients had seen flattish growth in early 2026.Earnings call, April 2026, p.5 and p.10
