About Innovative Tyres & Tubes: business, products and customers

Innovative Tyres & Tubes makes nylon tyres for trucks, buses, farm vehicles and two and three wheelers at Halol in Gujarat, and came back to life under a new owner after an insolvency process. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Innovative Tyres & Tubes makes bias (nylon) tyres at its Halol plant in Gujarat, for trucks and buses, light trucks, farm and off the road vehicles, and two and three wheelers, and supplies them in India and abroad. The 2017 prospectus describes a business built from a tube plant started in 1996, tyre making added in 2003, and more than two decades of job work for CEAT. The company stopped making tubes from 1 October 2025 and agreed the sale of the tube division for ₹7.0 cr, and in FY26 it finished a conveyor belt project.

The old company went into a corporate insolvency process in March 2022. Ten on Ten Rubtech, a maker of rubber compounds and granules, won it under a resolution plan approved by the NCLT in August 2023; the old promoters' shares were cancelled, public holders kept 3.52 shares for every 100, and the new shares began trading on NSE Emerge in December 2024. The former bank loans were settled, and Brickwork withdrew its old default rating in November 2024.

Read more about the business

The company purchases its own rubber, carbon black and nylon fabric, so material is the largest cost and margins move with rubber prices. A large part of its purchases and some of its sales go through companies of the same group, Ten on Ten International, TOT Tyres and Ten on Ten Rubtech, and the managing director and a director fund it with unsecured loans. The 2017 prospectus compared it with CEAT, Apollo Tyres and MRF, listed tyre makers many times its size.

From the 2017 prospectus, the FY25 and FY26 annual reports and the Brickwork rating note of November 2024.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Innovative Tyres & Tubes earns money by making nylon tyres from rubber it purchases and supplying them in India and abroad, and it is still rebuilding after an insolvency.

Its weak spots are a negative net worth, reliance on loans from its directors and group, and heavy dealings with companies of the same group.

WatchCan it set its own prices? No sign of it. The company itself points to rising input costs and competitive pressure in FY26.
The evidence. The FY26 management discussion names input cost volatility and competition from domestic and global players as key risks; the year ended with a loss despite sales nearly doubling.Annual report FY26, p.25 and p.46
WatchHow strong is it against rivals? It is a small maker of nylon tyres in a market led by much larger tyre companies.
The evidence. The 2017 prospectus compared it with CEAT, Apollo Tyres and MRF, each with income many times larger, and called the market competitive with organised and unorganised makers.Offer document, September 2017, p.119 and p.35
WatchWho are its customers?Dealers and buyers in India and abroad, with a part of sales going to group companies, and some money from customers hard to collect.
