About Jyoti Global Plast: business, products and customers

Jyoti Global Plast makes plastic drums, cans and containers in Navi Mumbai for chemical, oil, food and drug companies, and has started making plastic and composite parts for drones, defence and cars. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Jyoti Global Plast moulds plastic packaging to each customer's order: drums, barrels, jerrycans, carboys and bottles from 250 ml to 250 litres, plus pail buckets made on job work and some toys. Chemical companies made up about half of its FY25 sales, followed by lubricant and industrial oil makers, with food, edible oil, paint, pharma and others making up the rest.

The business began in 1990 as Jyoti Industries, a partnership started by promoter Bhawanji Khimji Shah, and the company was formed in 2004. It runs two plants at Rabale, Navi Mumbai, with 7,416 tonnes a year of capacity, and almost all its sales are within Maharashtra. Since April 2025 it has also made car parts, connectors and drone parts from fibre reinforced plastic, and in late 2025 it launched cleaning and farm spraying drones.

Read more about the business

The company listed on NSE Emerge in August 2025, raising ₹28.5 cr of new money for a third plant at Mahad, a solar power plant and debt repayment. The 1.9 MW AC solar plant at Akole was commissioned on 2 September 2026, while the company describes the Mahad plant as still under development.

From the offer document, the FY26 results filing, the November 2025, December 2025 and September 2026 press releases and the August 2026 Crisil rating letter and rationale.

  • Delivery of defence and aerospace orders, ₹21.6 cr at July 2025 (Offer document, p.167).
  • The working capital cycle, which Crisil calls stretched at 144 days of gross current assets in March 2026 (Crisil rating rationale, August 2026, p.1).
  • It paid no dividend in the past year.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Jyoti Global Plast earns its money by turning plastic granules into containers for a large number of factories, mostly near its own plants, and has lately earned more on each sale by moving to better paying products.

Its weak spots are a crowded market where it has little pricing power, plants that are close to full, and a new plant that has taken longer than planned.

WatchCan it set its own prices?Plastic containers are made by many large and small firms, so customers can shop around. Plastic granules are most of the cost, and their prices move often.
The evidence. Crisil cites intense competition from low entry barriers and limited value addition, which restricts bargaining with customers and suppliers; raw materials were 67.13% of FY25 revenue.Crisil rating rationale, August 2026, p.1; Offer document, p.173
AverageHow strong is it against rivals?Decades in the trade and a wide product range keep customers coming back. It is still a modest sized player in a crowded field.
The evidence. Repeat customers made 89.71% of FY25 sales; Crisil notes established presence in Maharashtra and Gujarat but a moderate scale of operations.Offer document, p.170; Crisil rating rationale, August 2026, p.1
StrongWho are its customers?Over a thousand factories order from it, and no small group dominates sales. Almost all of them are in Maharashtra.
The evidence. 1,059 active customers in FY25; top ten customers 21.61% of invoices; Maharashtra 95.96% of revenue.Offer document, p.33, p.157 and p.170
AverageDoes it need a lot of money?Growth needs new plants and machines, and customers take time to pay. The share issue paid for the solar plant and part of the new plant and cut borrowing.
The evidence. Mahad plant estimated at ₹16.6 cr; Crisil puts gross current assets at 144 days in March 2026 and gearing at 0.4 times against 1.2 times a year earlier.Offer document, p.106; Crisil rating rationale, August 2026, p.1
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Demand for its containers is steady, but the plants are nearly full, so more sales wait on the new plant. Defence parts and drones are new lines that are still small.
The evidence. The offer document says the current plants are nearly fully used and the company is unable to accept new orders; defence and aerospace orders of ₹21.6 cr at July 2025.Offer document, p.105 and p.167
AverageDo good and bad years swing a lot?Sales have been steady because the containers go to many different industries. Profit margins have moved more, with plastic prices and the product mix.
The evidence. Revenue was ₹89.2 cr in FY23 and ₹87.3 cr in FY24 before ₹93.5 cr in FY25, while the EBITDA margin moved from 6.53% to 12.47%; Crisil names price volatility as a key sensitivity.Offer document, p.156; Crisil rating rationale, August 2026, p.1
