About Felix Industries: business, products and customers
Felix Industries builds and runs plants that clean factory waste water, and recovers oil, plastic and metal from industrial waste, for factories in Gujarat and refineries in Oman. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.
Felix, based in Ahmedabad, designs and builds effluent, sewage and water treatment plants, including zero liquid discharge systems, for chemical, pharma, food, steel and oil and gas customers, and often keeps running them afterwards. Its subsidiary Rivita Solutions runs water facilities at ONGC sites, and Felix Industries LLC in Oman, in which it holds 76.5%, recycles waste oil and handles hazardous waste for refineries and a semi-government body.
How a contract is written shapes the numbers. Under an EPC contract Felix builds a plant the client owns and books revenue in lumps as milestones are met; under BOO and BOOT contracts it pays for the plant itself, keeps it on its own balance sheet and earns a monthly fee for years; operation and maintenance work brings steady fees with little capital. So a year with many projects under construction lifts revenue sharply, while owned plants add borrowing and depreciation before their fees build up.
Read more about the business
Newer lines recover value from waste: waste oil refined into base oil in Oman, plastic waste turned into fuel, and metal recovery through a subsidiary that agreed in May 2026 to acquire a ready plant in Mehsana. Management said on the June 2026 call that the oil line is limited by how much waste oil it can collect.
The offer document describes intense competition in bidding from Indian and foreign companies, without naming them.
From the offer document, the annual report for FY26, the November 2025 investor presentation, the earnings call transcripts of November 2025, February 2026 and June 2026, and the company's announcements of December 2025 to August 2026.

Felix Industries revenue and profit growth
Half-yearly results · Profit and lossSales have grown very fast. Last year profit grew more slowly than sales, so the profit kept from each rupee of sales slipped.

Exceptional and other items: profit before tax beyond operating profit, other income, interest and depreciation, such as one-off items or a share of associates' profit, as reported.
A tax rate above 60% or below zero (FY20, FY21) comes from tax charged on a small or negative profit, as reported.
Earnings per share before FY17 is on the share count of that time, before later bonus or share issues, so it does not compare with the years after.

Is it a good business? Six questions
Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.
Felix earns money by building water treatment plants, running them for years, and recovering oil, plastic and metal from waste in India and Oman.
Its weak spots are lumpy project revenue, rising borrowing to fund owned plants and working capital, and several young businesses still being set up.
AverageCan it set its own prices?Factories must treat their waste by law, which helps, but most work is won by bidding against others.
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? Its licences and ability to build, own and run plants set it apart from plain contractors, though it still bids against larger firms.
AverageWho are its customers?Industrial plants in Gujarat, ONGC sites through Rivita, and refineries and a semi-government body in Oman, with a few large contracts doing much of the work.
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Owned plants and slow customer payments need capital, and management expects to add bank debt in both India and Oman.
StrongCan it keep finding new work?It has added long contracts in India and Oman and new waste recovery lines, giving it several ways to grow.
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Project revenue comes in lumps and Oman work stopped for a time in early 2026, so results can move a lot from period to period.
