About Pushpa Jewellers: business, products and customers

Pushpa Jewellers designs gold jewellery, such as necklaces, earrings and bangles, has it made by craftsmen in Kolkata, and sells it in bulk to jewellery shops and chains across India. It does not supply shoppers directly, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Pushpa Jewellers, based in Kolkata, makes hallmarked 22 carat and 18 carat plain gold, Kundan, antique temple and diamond studded jewellery for retail chains, regional jewellers and wholesalers. Necklaces are by far the biggest line, and a small part of sales is exported.

The company keeps design in house but has the pieces made by independent karigars in Kolkata, paid per job, so it owns little plant. It shows designs at exhibitions, takes orders on verbal commitments, and gives each design a code so a retailer can reorder exactly what sold.

Read more about the business

Revenue rose 48.86% to ₹418.4 cr in FY26 while profit after tax rose 16.15%, and stock of gold and jewellery grew to ₹91.1 cr at March 2026. The shares listed on NSE Emerge in July 2025, and the board approved a warrant issue to promoters and investors in April 2026.

From the draft offer document (2024), the FY26 annual report, the February 2026 investor presentation and the company's announcements of September 2025 to April 2026.

  • Branch openings in Mumbai, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat set out in the February 2026 presentation (Investor presentation, February 2026, p.22).
  • Export sales, which halved in FY26 as the company realigned that business (Annual report FY26, p.37).
  • Customers take longer to pay than before: 31 days in FY26, against 5 in FY21.

From the company's documents first, then the reported figures read by fixed rules, the same for every company. Facts, not a view on the shares.

Sales have grown fast. Last year profit grew more slowly than sales, so the profit kept from each rupee of sales slipped.

Pushpa Jewellers debt and cash flow

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Pushpa Jewellers earns a making margin on gold jewellery it designs and has made for shops, and the gold itself is most of what it buys and sells.

Its weak spots are a thin margin, a fast growing pile of gold and jewellery stock, and gold prices it cannot control.

WatchCan it set its own prices? Not much. It sells on competitive prices to retailers who compare suppliers, and its margin fell in the latest year even as sales jumped.
The evidence. The company says rivals compete on design, price, quality, credit terms and delivery. The net profit ratio fell to 6.19% in FY26 from 7.93%, which the company puts down to higher expenses.Annual report FY26, p.38 to 39; Investor presentation, February 2026, p.12
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? Its design library, reorder codes and lightweight pieces bring repeat orders, but the jewellery trade is crowded and none of this is hard to copy.
The evidence. The presentation lists 2,367 designs and names retail chains among its clients; the offer document says customers reorder by design code over the years.Investor presentation, February 2026, p.10 and p.13; Offer document, p.159 to 160
AverageWho are its customers?Jewellery retailers and wholesalers across India, spread fairly widely, but they order without long contracts.
The evidence. The top ten customers gave 37.64% of FY24 sales. The offer document says orders are taken on verbal commitments at exhibitions and lists dependence on key customers as a risk.Offer document, p.43 and p.159
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Yes. It must purchase gold before it can make and show jewellery, and in the latest year stock and customer dues grew much faster than sales.
The evidence. Inventory was ₹91.1 cr and trade receivables ₹35.5 cr at March 2026; inventory turnover fell to 21.05 times from 46.36 and cash used in operations was ₹51.3 cr in FY26.Annual report FY26, p.38 to 39 and p.53
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Sales are growing fast through exhibitions, new branches and new retailer customers, but there is no order book to show what is coming.
The evidence. Domestic sales rose 51.24% in FY26. The company opened a Vijayawada branch and plans branches in Mumbai, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat.Annual report FY26, p.37 and p.54; Investor presentation, February 2026, p.22
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Sales have grown every year, but gold price swings move its costs, stock values and what retailers order.
The evidence. The company names gold price volatility as a threat to procurement costs, inventory values, customer buying and working capital needs.Annual report FY26, p.39
