About Yaap Digital: business, products and customers

Yaap Digital makes online campaigns for brands: videos and posts, influencer tie-ups and ads placed on websites and apps. It works from India, the UAE and Singapore, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Yaap Digital is a digital marketing agency. It groups its work into three parts: Design (brand identity and content), Discovery (influencer marketing, creator work and online reputation) and Distribution (performance marketing and online media buying for clients). The company says most clients take more than one of the three.

It serves brands in banking and finance, travel, consumer goods, technology, healthcare and government. In FY25 one large client gave 56.4% of revenue and government owned clients about three quarters; by the nine months to December 2025 the top client was down to 15.1% and the UAE business had grown to 28.0% of revenue.

Read more about the business

In March 2026 it listed on NSE Emerge, raising ₹80.1 crore, and paid ₹34.0 crore of that for the first tranche of Gozoop Online, a Mumbai agency whose HAWK platform tracks a brand's reputation online. Yaap held 60.15% of Gozoop at March 2026 and intends to acquire the rest in two more tranches priced on Gozoop's profits.

Exchange filings of 14 October 2026 record that the board appointed Anjan Roy as Chairman and Managing Director and as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 14 October 2026, after Raj Nayak resigned as Chairman and Managing Director with effect from 9 October 2026. Raj Nayak had been named from 14 July 2026, after founder Atul Hegde died on 7 July 2026, so this is the third person to lead the board since July. Filings of 8 October 2026 record a change in auditors and the appointment of NGPC & Co. as statutory auditor; only the subject lines of the October filings are among the documents read.

From the offer document, the FY26 annual report, the June 2026 earnings call, the IPO proceeds certificate filed with the results, the June, July and September 2026 press releases and the subject lines of the October 2026 auditor and management filings, including those of 14 October 2026.

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

On the June 2026 call, then Chairman and Managing Director Atul Hegde said the company aimed for about 2% of its addressable market in three years and agreed that growth of 25% to 30% a year could be expected. The company said the second half margin was sustainable give or take one or two points, that about 35% to 40% of this year's revenue would come in the first half, and that it would look at at least one acquisition this financial year in AI and the creator economy. The IPO proceeds certificate says the money for the AI content hub is to be spent within two financial years from March 2026.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Yaap Digital earns fees for content, influencer and campaign work, and a thinner margin on online ads it places for clients.

It has grown fast while spreading its sales over many more clients than before.

The weak spots are slow payments from clients, a business that leans on a few busy months, and three people at the head of the board within about three months of the founder's death.

AverageCan it set its own prices?Margins depend on what clients spend on: content and influencer work pay well, placing ads pays little. It wins about two of every three pitches it makes.
The evidence. The company says non-media work carries the higher margin and margin is a function of client mix; pitch strike rate was 66% in the nine months to December 2025.Earnings call transcript, June 2026, p.6 and p.13; Offer document, p.204
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? It is a small Indian agency in a field the company says is dominated by foreign networks, and clients can also move work in house.
The evidence. The company says almost 90% of Indian advertising sits with foreign players; the offer document lists clients building in-house teams as a risk.Earnings call transcript, June 2026, p.5; Offer document, p.48
WatchWho are its customers?Until recently one large client and government owned firms gave most of the revenue. That has come down sharply, but ten clients still give well over half.
The evidence. Top client fell from 72.4% of revenue in FY24 to 15.1% in the nine months to December 2025; top ten from 88.9% to 64.5%; public sector revenue was ₹117.1 crore of ₹152.5 crore in FY25.Offer document, p.44 and p.203
WatchDoes it need a lot of money? It needs few machines, but clients pay slowly, and placing ads for clients ties up cash before it is paid back.
The evidence. Trade receivable days rose from 61 in FY25 to 153 in the nine months to December 2025; the company says media work needs working capital of about 40% to 50% of the billing.Offer document, p.203; Earnings call transcript, June 2026, p.12
StrongCan it keep finding new work?It keeps adding clients and won a contested pitch for Parle's candy brands after the year end. The Gozoop deal brought a further base of clients.
The evidence. More than 100 new clients in FY26; Parle Candy Culture creative and media mandate won after a multi-agency pitch in September 2026; Gozoop adds about a hundred clients, the company says.Annual report FY26, p.6; Press release, 7 September 2026, p.2; Earnings call transcript, June 2026, p.8
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot? Most of its work comes in the festive and cricket season in the second half, and margins move with the mix of work and with a few large clients.
The evidence. The company says 60% to 70% of its business comes in the second half, that margins depend on the mix of work in a period, and that with a small base a couple of large clients can swing the figures.Earnings call transcript, June 2026, p.5, p.12 and p.13
