About Shreeji Global FMCG: business, products and customers

Shreeji Global FMCG cleans, sorts and packs spices, seeds, pulses and grains, and grinds spice powders and wheat flour, selling them under its SHETHJI brand and for other companies' labels. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Shreeji Global FMCG, set up in Rajkot in 2018, sources spices, seeds, oilseeds, pulses and grains with the help of its links to the Gondal and Rajkot market yards, then cleans, grades and packs them at its plants in Gujarat. Most of its volume is whole seeds and commodities for wholesale, kirana and institutional customers, in packs from 20 grams to 40 kilograms.

Ground spices and wheat flour lines started in early 2024 and were running at more than 90% of capacity by August 2025. Gujarat gave 85.39% of domestic sales in FY25, and exports, mostly to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, were 8.89% of sales.

Read more about the business

From the red herring prospectus (October 2025), the FY26 annual report, CARE Ratings' September 2026 rating note and the company's exchange filings of July and August 2026.

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It borrowed much more last year. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

What the company said, and what happened

The company's own statements, attributed, set against what it later reported; not newboard's estimates

The company does not state an order book. Its prospectus set out a new plant in Morbi district for blended spices and multigrain and millet flours, with cold storage and a solar plant, paid from the share issue. CARE Ratings says the plant is expected to start by December 2026 and that sales of the new products are expected from the fourth quarter of FY27. The company says it will also build its SHETHJI brand, exports and direct sales.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Shreeji Global FMCG earns a thin margin on large volumes of spices, seeds and staples it sources from Gujarat's market yards, cleans and packs, with ground spices and flour adding a little more.

Its weak spots are prices it cannot control, sales tied to a few buyers and one state, and a business that now needs much more money for stock and customer credit.

WatchCan it set its own prices? No. Its prices stay close to commodity rates in a crowded, unorganised trade, and its margins move with crop prices.
The evidence. CARE Ratings says limited value addition and stiff competition put pressure on pricing power, and that margins are exposed to raw material price swings, though they rose to 3% to 4% after the grinding lines started.CARE Ratings rating note, Sep 2026, p.3
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? Its links to Gujarat's spice market yards, export certifications and nearness to Unjha and Mundra port help, but many organised and local players compete.
The evidence. Direct dealing with the Gondal and Rajkot market yards; ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSAI, USFDA, APEDA and Spice Board accreditations. The company names intense competition from branded and regional players as a threat.CARE Ratings rating note, Sep 2026, p.2 and p.3; Annual report FY26, p.62
WatchWho are its customers?Traders and institutions place orders one at a time, mostly in Gujarat, and the share taken by the largest customers jumped in 2025.
The evidence. Top ten customers gave 63.05% of sales in the five months to August 2025 against 31.43% in FY25; the largest gave 17.07%. Gujarat was 85.39% of FY25 domestic sales.Red herring prospectus, p.35 and p.123
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Yes. Growth has come with much more stock and longer credit to customers, and its bank lines are almost fully used.
The evidence. Inventory rose to ₹98.6 cr from ₹48.5 cr and receivables to ₹83.6 cr from ₹51.5 cr in FY26; working capital limits were about 93% used on average in the year to June 2026.Annual report FY26, p.64 and p.66; CARE Ratings rating note, Sep 2026, p.3
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Exports and the newer ground spice and flour lines have grown, and a new plant adds blended spices and millet flours, but there are no long-term contracts.
The evidence. Exports rose from 0.60% of sales in FY23 to 8.89% in FY25; the ground spice and flour lines ran above 90% by August 2025. The company has no binding export obligations.Red herring prospectus, p.137 to p.139
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Sales have grown each year, but crop prices, weather and government trade rules can move margins sharply from one half to the next.
The evidence. CARE Ratings names agro-climatic risk, minimum support prices, trade restrictions and logistics as risks; the company names crop output, monsoon and global commodity cycles.CARE Ratings rating note, Sep 2026, p.3; Annual report FY26, p.62
