About Sheetal Universal: business, products and customers
Sheetal Universal cleans, sorts and packs peanuts, sesame seeds, spices and pulses at a plant near Jamnagar in Gujarat and sells them in bulk, at home and abroad. It has started selling flavoured nuts under its own Sheetal name, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.
The company was set up in Rajkot in 2015 and began its own peanut processing line in 2017, adding sesame and spices in 2018. It buys raw peanuts and seeds through agents and traders in the Saurashtra growing belt, then cleans, destones, colour sorts and grades them for food companies and traders; the plant is certified to export peanuts to the European Union. The offer document lists the Russian Federation, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the UAE, Iran, Algeria, Israel, Turkey and Egypt as markets.
Because the business turns a farm crop into a cleaned bulk commodity, raw material is almost all of the cost, and margins depend on the spread between crop prices and selling prices, on the rupee for export sales, and on export incentives. Stock is bought at harvest and held, so inventory and borrowings rise and fall with the crop, and a good or poor crop can move both volumes and margins.
Read more about the business
The mix changed sharply in FY26: domestic sales became the larger part of revenue while export sales fell. The company launched a line of flavoured nuts, signed a small marketing tie-up with a gym chain in September 2026, and in March 2026 set up Helios Global LLC in Russia to import and trade food products, which had not started business by March 2026. It also has two Indian subsidiaries, Saumesvar International and Svar Industries.
The offer document says the company has no comparable listed peer. CRISIL describes its location near the Rajkot market yards and the Mundra, Pipavav and Kandla ports as an advantage for an exporter.
From the offer document (Prospectus, 2023), the annual reports for FY25 and FY26, CRISIL's rating notes of August 2024 and October 2025 and the company's announcements of 2025 and 2026.

Sheetal Universal debt and cash flow
Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capitalThe company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It borrowed much more last year. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.
Bars below the line are cash going out.

Is it a good business? Six questions
Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.
Sheetal Universal earns a spread on peanuts and seeds it buys from the farm belt, cleans and sells in bulk, now more at home than abroad.
Its weak spots are crop and currency swings, a few large buyers, rising stock and customer dues, and a rating agency that no longer gets information from it.
WatchCan it set its own prices? It sells a bulk farm commodity, so prices follow crops and competing sellers.
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? It sits close to where peanuts are grown and shipped and holds export certifications, but has nothing a rival could not match.
WatchWho are its customers?A handful of bulk buyers take most of what it sells.
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Little goes into the plant, but crop stock and customer credit tie up a lot of cash.
AverageCan it keep finding new work?It wins bulk orders and has moved into branded flavoured nuts, though export sales shrank in the latest year.
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Crop size, weather and the rupee move both how much it processes and what it earns.
