About Aeron Composite: business, products and customers

Aeron Composite makes rust-proof parts from glass fibre and resin, such as cable trays, floor gratings, rods for optic fibre cables and bars that replace steel in concrete, for factories, utilities and road builders in India and abroad. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Aeron Composite makes fibre reinforced plastic products at a plant in Jornang, Mehsana district, Gujarat: pultruded profiles, cable trays and fencing, moulded gratings, UV-cured rods used as the strength core of optic fibre cables and, since commercial sales began in March 2025, glass fibre rebar for roads, bridges and coastal works. Buyers are EPC contractors and plant owners in chemicals, oil and gas, power, water treatment and telecom; the offer document names ONGC Tripura Power, NTPC, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Projects, Grasim and Atul among clients, and the November 2025 call added Wabag, IRB, Apar and OFS of the Furukawa group. Exports to 39 countries were 52% of FY26 revenue, and no single customer reached 10% of revenue in FY25 or FY26.

Glass fibre and resin are most of the cost: raw materials were 65.28% of manufacturing revenue in the eleven months to February 2024, so profit is a thin conversion margin that narrows when input prices jump, as they did in FY26 after the Middle East conflict lifted polymer prices. Because about half the sales are exported, currency gains matter too; from FY26 the company counts export exchange gains (₹3.8 cr in FY26) as operating income rather than other income, so FY25 figures were restated. Moving out of a rented plant at Changodar into its own Mehsana plant removes rent the company put at about ₹32 lakh a month, but adds depreciation and interest on the new building and machines.

Read more about the business

The September 2024 IPO raised ₹56.1 cr at ₹125 a share, of which ₹39.0 cr was for the new unit making rebar and carbon fibre products; ₹28.1 cr of that was still unspent at March 2026. The company began commercial production at the Jornang unit on 18 September 2025 and plans to go from two to five rebar lines by FY27 and to launch carbon fibre products by the end of the first half of FY27.

The offer document says Aeron has no direct listed competitor. In GFRP rebar, the November 2025 call named Jindal Advanced Material, a JSW group company, and Rathi Steel of Delhi as the established makers, each with more machines than Aeron's two lines at the time.

From the offer document (RHP) of August 2024, the FY25 and FY26 annual reports, the June 2026 investor presentation, the November 2025 earnings call, the FY26 results filing and the company's NSE announcements.

Sales have grown slowly. Last year profit fell even as sales rose, so the company kept less from each rupee of sales.

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business brought in less cash than it showed as profit, so part of the profit is still to be collected. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take about as long to pay as they did in FY24.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Aeron turns glass fibre and resin into rust-proof parts for industry and infrastructure, and sells about half of them abroad.

Its weak spots are thin margins that rise and fall with raw material prices, a new plant that is far from full and a change at the top.

WatchCan it set its own prices?Raw materials are most of the cost, and last year's profit fell when their prices rose faster than Aeron could pass them on.
The evidence. Raw materials were 65.28% of manufacturing revenue in the eleven months to February 2024; the FY26 annual report ties the fall in profit to geopolitical headwinds affecting raw material costs and to the larger asset base, after polymer prices reached four year highs.Offer document, p.33; Annual report FY26, p.24 and p.31
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? It makes a wide range with in-house R&D and many approvals, but in the new rebar business larger makers got there first.
The evidence. DSIR recognised R&D unit, Two Star Export House status, ISO 9001, CE, RoHS and REACH; rebar certified to IS 18255:2023; the offer document names no direct listed competitor, while the November 2025 call named Jindal Advanced Material and Rathi Steel as rebar makers with more machines.Investor presentation, June 2026, p.7 and p.10; Annual report FY26, p.30; Offer document, p.120; Earnings call, November 2025, p.13 to p.14
StrongWho are its customers?A wide spread of industrial and infrastructure buyers in India and abroad, with no one customer large enough to hurt badly if lost.
The evidence. No customer reached 10% of revenue in FY25 or FY26; the top ten were 40.61% before the IPO; buyers include L&T, Wabag, IRB, ONGC, NTPC, Apar and OFS, across 39 countries.Annual report FY26, p.63; Offer document, p.37; Earnings call, November 2025, p.13 and p.19
AverageDoes it need a lot of money? The new plant and its machines took the IPO money and new bank loans, and borrowings now exceed cash, though buyers pay within a few months.
The evidence. Capital spending of ₹31.3 cr in FY26 and ₹36.3 cr in FY25; borrowings of ₹58.0 cr against cash and bank of ₹32.0 cr at March 2026; the company put typical collection at 60 to 90 days.Annual report FY26, p.48; Investor presentation, June 2026, p.35; Earnings call, November 2025, p.18
AverageCan it keep finding new work?Orders in hand cover only a few months, so growth depends on new products like rebar and carbon fibre taking off.
The evidence. Order book of ₹45 cr in November 2025; rebar sales began in March 2025 with a highway project for IRB; carbon fibre products due by the end of H1 FY27 after customer qualification.Earnings call, November 2025, p.7, p.14 and p.16; Investor presentation, June 2026, p.25
AverageDo good and bad years swing a lot?Sales rose every year until a flat FY26, but profit has moved with input prices, exports and the plant move.
The evidence. Revenue ₹108.3 cr in FY22, ₹179.4 cr in FY23, ₹199.7 cr in FY24, ₹218.0 cr in FY25 and ₹221.8 cr in FY26, with EBITDA margins between 5.5% and 9.5%; the annual report ties FRP demand to infrastructure capex cycles.Investor presentation, June 2026, p.32; Annual report FY26, p.31
