About Shree Tirupati Balajee FIBC: business, products and customers

Shree Tirupati Balajee FIBC makes large woven plastic bags, called FIBCs or jumbo bags, and woven fabric at an export unit in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, and ships almost all of them abroad. It is part of the Shree Tirupati Balajee group, whose listed parent owns most of it, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

The company works from one plant in the Special Economic Zone at Pithampur near Indore, set up as an export oriented unit, with capacity of about 8,000 MT a year for FIBCs and about 4,000 MT for fabric. It makes jumbo bags in tubular, U panel and four panel designs, builder bags, woven sacks, fabric, liners, narrow woven belts and tarpaulins, including food grade bags made in a clean room. The plant holds BRCGS, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GRS, SEDEX and HALAL certifications, and the company had 707 employees on its rolls at March 2026.

Almost everything goes overseas: in FY26 export product sales were ₹193.5 cr against domestic sales of ₹5.1 cr, down from ₹47.0 cr of domestic sales the year before. Buyers are in the USA, the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and New Zealand, serving agriculture, chemicals, food, pharmaceutical and construction users. Because bags are priced off polypropylene, a crude oil product, and paid for in foreign currency, revenue moves with polymer prices and the rupee; the company books its net foreign exchange gain inside revenue from operations.

Read more about the business

Margins depend on the spread left after polymer, labour and power. Much of the stitching is done through contract labour, booked as processing charges, which nearly doubled in FY26 after new looms were installed to add stitching capacity, and the business carries heavy stock: inventory was ₹66.2 cr at March 2026, of which ₹36.7 cr was work in progress. During FY26 advances to suppliers and to related parties grew and short term bank borrowing rose.

The company is run as part of a group. Shree Tirupati Balajee Agro Trading, listed on BSE and NSE since September 2024, owns 54.44% and makes the same kind of bags; the two share resources and trade material, machinery and job work with each other and with promoter linked firms such as Jagannath Plastics, Ever Bags Packaging and Stable Textile. The parent's 2024 prospectus compares the group with listed bag makers Commercial Syn Bags, Emmbi Industries and Rishi Techtex, which it names as listed peers.

From the FY26 and FY25 annual reports, the parent's prospectus (September 2024) and the Infomerics rating notes of November 2025 and June 2026.

  • The Infomerics rating of IVR BBB+ Stable, valid to 4 June 2027; the agency names interest cover below 1x as a downgrade factor (Rating letter, June 2026, p.2; Infomerics rating note, November 2025, p.2).
  • Customers take longer to pay than before: 67 days in FY26, against 42 in FY15.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

The company makes export bags in one plant and keeps a thin spread over plastic, labour and power, and that spread shrank sharply in the latest year.

Its weak spots are heavy dependence on its parent and promoter linked firms for material and money, and borrowing that its current profit barely covers.

WatchCan it set its own prices?Bag prices follow the price of polypropylene and the rupee, so the company has little say over its spread.
The evidence. The rating agency calls margins volatile because the key input, polymer granules, follows crude oil; in the first half of FY26 the currency gain exceeded profit.Infomerics rating note, November 2025, p.4
AverageHow strong is it against rivals?Food safety certifications and a clean room plant set it apart from basic bag makers, but India has many FIBC exporters and the group's own prospectus lists larger ones.
The evidence. BRCGS, ISO 22000 and other certifications; the parent's prospectus names FlexiTuff International, Plastene India and Shankar Packagings among the top Indian FIBC makers.Annual report FY26, p.26; Parent's prospectus, September 2024, p.153
