About Global Ocean Logistics India: business, products and customers

Global Ocean Logistics India arranges the shipping of goods for Indian importers and exporters by sea, air and road, and handles customs clearance and port side work along the way. Its shares trade on BSE SME.

Global Ocean Logistics India is a Mumbai freight forwarder. It books cargo space by sea, air and road, clears goods through customs, and handles container freight station work and local port charges, working through ports such as Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Hazira and Chennai with marketing offices in Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Pune and Tuticorin. Its customers are businesses in chemicals, textiles, machinery and other industries.

It owns almost none of the equipment that moves the cargo. Shipping lines, airlines, truckers, warehouses and overseas agents reached through the WCA and JCtrans networks do the carrying, and the company books and coordinates them, so most of what it bills is paid straight on to them and it keeps a thin slice. That is why its revenue moves with global freight rates as much as with the number of containers it handles, and why cash gets tied up in what customers owe before it is collected.

Read more about the business

Niraj Narsaria started the business in 2011 as the partnership firm Global Ocean Logistics, and it became this company in 2021. It listed on the BSE SME platform in December 2025, raising money mainly for working capital. It trades services with, and has lent to, companies and a firm linked to its directors, such as Global Ocean Clearing and Ocean Global Consol.

The offer document names Blue Water Logistics and Tiger Logistics as listed peers, which it describes as comparable in size and business model.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Global Ocean Logistics India books and coordinates freight for importers and exporters without owning ships, planes or trucks, and keeps a small margin on what it passes on.

Its weak spots are freight rates it cannot control, one large customer, and money tied up in customer dues and in loans to parties linked to its directors.

WatchCan it set its own prices?Hardly. Freight rates follow global shipping conditions, and the company keeps a thin slice after paying carriers and agents.
The evidence. Cost of services was ₹186.6 cr against revenue of ₹207.9 cr in FY26; the annual report lists freight rate volatility among the threats to margins.Annual report 2025-26, p.41 and p.51
WatchHow strong is it against rivals? It is one of many forwarders in a crowded field, and it relies on agent networks rather than its own equipment.
The evidence. The annual report calls the industry fragmented, with intense competition from organised and unorganised players on thin margins, and lists dependence on overseas agents as a threat.Annual report 2025-26, p.40 and p.41
AverageWho are its customers? It serves hundreds of businesses, but one customer brings in close to a fifth of revenue.
The evidence. 704 customers in FY25; the largest customer was 18.58% of FY25 revenue and 18.82% in the half year to September 2025, and the top ten 48.55%.Offer document, p.34, p.35 and p.204
AverageDoes it need a lot of money? It needs almost no equipment, but customer dues and advances use up cash as it grows.
The evidence. Fixed assets were under ₹1 cr at March 2026, while receivables were ₹32.6 cr and short term loans and advances ₹10.3 cr; operating cash flow was negative ₹11.2 cr in FY26.Annual report 2025-26, p.50 and p.52
AverageCan it keep finding new work? Its customer count and container volumes have grown, though each shipment is booked one at a time and it states no order book.
The evidence. Customers served rose from 589 in FY23 to 704 in FY25; containers handled rose from 21,597 TEUs in FY24 to 29,094 in FY25.Offer document, p.123 and p.204
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Yes. Revenue rises and falls with freight rates, and one year fell by almost half after rates came down.
The evidence. Revenue fell 45.93% in FY24 and rose 86.45% in FY25; the offer document says FY23 sales were lifted by a rise in freight rates.Offer document, p.123 and p.193
