About Aimtron Electronics: business, products and customers

Aimtron Electronics designs and builds electronic circuit boards and complete electronic products for other manufacturers in India and abroad. It now also runs a factory in the United States, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Aimtron Electronics makes electronics to order for equipment makers: bare circuit board assemblies, complete products with the board, wiring and casing inside (box build), and a small but growing share of products it designs itself (ODM). In FY26 box build gave 68.8% of standalone revenue, circuit boards 28.6% and design-led work 2.6%.

Its customers are in industrial equipment, telecom and network security, power and data centres, IoT and robotics, medical devices, automotive, gaming, defence and railways. About a quarter of FY26 standalone revenue came from outside India, mainly the United States.

Read more about the business

It has plants in Vadodara and Bengaluru with nine surface mount lines, a sales office in Texas, and since February 2026 a plant in Decatur, Illinois, bought from International Control Services and renamed Aimtron International Controls. A new Vadodara plant with six surface mount lines is under construction.

What is new: the US acquisition, a subsidiary called Aimtron Mechatronics for box build and system integration, an application under the government's electronics component scheme for optical transceivers, AS9100D aerospace certification, and pilot orders from Curtiss-Wright and a global test equipment maker.

From the offer document, the FY26 annual report, the January 2026 and May 2026 investor presentations, the November 2025 and April 2026 earnings calls, and the company's announcements up to September 2026.

Aimtron Electronics debt and cash flow

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It borrowed much more last year. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Aimtron Electronics earns its money building circuit boards and finished electronic products for other companies, and picks work that clears its margin bar rather than chasing volume.

Its weak spots are a past reliance on a few customers, including a promoter group company, and a lot of money tied up in stock and unpaid bills.

AverageCan it set its own prices? The company says it passes component price rises to customers and only takes orders in its target margin range, but its own annual report warns that costs it cannot pass on can wipe out profit in this industry.
The evidence. On the April 2026 call, Chairman Mukesh Vasani said cost increases are transferred to customers and that orders are chosen by EBITDA band. The annual report says tariffs on components can erode or eliminate profit if not passed to the brand owner.Earnings call, Apr 2026, p.7 and p.20; Annual report 2025-26, p.63
AverageHow strong is it against rivals?Certifications for medical, automotive and aerospace work let it quote where many small rivals cannot, but the field includes large Indian and global manufacturers.
The evidence. The company holds ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100D and CDSCO approvals, with railway approval in progress. Its own SWOT lists intense competition from global and local electronics makers.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.18 and p.26
WatchWho are its customers?Sales have been concentrated, and a large share once went to a company owned by the promoters; that share has fallen, and the customer list has widened.
The evidence. The top ten customers gave 88.76% of revenue in the nine months to December 2023, with Aimtron Corporation USA alone at 51.74%. Sales to it were ₹9.3 cr in FY26 against ₹30.3 cr in FY25. At the US plant, the top five customers give 40% of revenue.Offer document, p.33; Annual report 2025-26, p.98; Investor presentation, Jan 2026, p.10
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Yes. Design-led work needs the company to hold more parts, customers take time to pay, and the US purchase and new plant needed fresh money and loans.
The evidence. Inventories rose to ₹103.2 cr at March 2026 from ₹35.1 cr, and receivables to ₹135.5 cr from ₹87.1 cr. Borrowings were ₹55.3 cr, and convertible warrants raised ₹94.6 cr in September 2025. Management linked the stock build-up to design-led orders and stocking scarce parts early.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.32 and p.38; Earnings call, Apr 2026, p.16 to 17
StrongCan it keep finding new work?Orders in hand cover more than a year of sales, the list of quotes is large, and new customers have come in from the United States and Europe.
The evidence. Order book of ₹521.2 cr at March 2026 against a request for quotes pipeline of about ₹900 to 950 crore. The US plant booked US$11.8 mn of orders in the quarter to September 2026, and pilot orders came from Curtiss-Wright and a global test equipment maker.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.33 and p.35; Press release, 17 Sep 2026, p.2; Press release, 10 Sep 2026, p.2; Announcement, 14 Jul 2026, p.1
AverageDo good and bad years swing a lot?Sales and profit have grown each year since a loss in FY22, but margins move between halves with the mix of orders.
The evidence. The company made a loss of ₹1.8 cr in FY22, which the offer document puts down to COVID supply disruption. EBITDA margin was 24.6% in H1 FY26 and 20.0% in H2 FY26.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.36 to 37; Offer document, p.34
