About Agarwal Toughened Glass India: business, products and customers

Agarwal Toughened Glass India turns plain glass sheets into safety glass for buildings: toughened, laminated and double glazed panels cut to each project's drawings. Builders, contractors and fabricators, mostly in North India, are its main buyers, and its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Agarwal Toughened Glass India buys float glass from the big glass makers and processes it in Jaipur into toughened glass, laminated glass and insulated or double glazed units (DGU) for facades, windows, doors and partitions. It works order by order to each customer's size and specification, from plants in the Sitapura industrial area of Jaipur, and announced a third unit in May 2025.

Because the glass itself is bought in, the company's revenue carries the full cost of the float glass and its profit is the spread it earns for cutting, toughening and finishing. Orders come directly from customers, through fabricators, and through float glass makers such as Saint-Gobain, which pass projects to approved processors; it signed a processor agreement with Saint-Gobain India in January 2024. Suppliers want payment in advance and the company keeps stock to meet delivery dates, so growth ties up cash.

Read more about the business

The offer document names Saint-Gobain, Borosil, Asahi India Glass, Sejal Glass and Triveni Glass as the organised players. Sejal Glass, a listed glass processor that the offer document compares it with, is the closest in what it does, while Saint-Gobain and Asahi India Glass also make the float glass the company buys. What is new: larger DGU orders for malls and commercial buildings, a preferential issue of shares and warrants in July 2026, and a solar glass idea the company says it is still exploring.

From the offer document, the H2 FY25 earnings call of May 2025, the 2025-26 annual report and the company's exchange announcements of July and September 2026.

Sales have grown fast. Last year profit grew more slowly than sales, so the profit kept from each rupee of sales slipped.

Agarwal Toughened Glass India debt and cash flow

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. It cut its borrowings last year. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business used more cash than it brought in. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and drew on its cash. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Agarwal Toughened Glass India earns a processing spread on glass it buys, and that spread has been wide in recent years while sales grew fast.

Its weak spots are the few glass makers it depends on for supply, paying them in advance, and project orders that must be won one at a time.

AverageCan it set its own prices? It earns more on value added work such as double glazing and lamination, but it cannot always pass a rise in glass prices on to customers straight away.
The evidence. The annual report says float glass price rises cannot always be immediately passed through. The June 2025 presentation says premium services can fetch 20% to 50% higher pricing.Annual Report 2025-26, p.43; Investor presentation, June 2025, p.14
AverageHow strong is it against rivals? The trade is crowded and fragmented, with large organised names alongside regional processors. Its approved processor link with Saint-Gobain helps it reach specified projects.
The evidence. The offer document calls the industry highly competitive and fragmented and names Saint-Gobain, Borosil, Asahi India Glass, Sejal Glass and Triveni Glass; the Propel processor agreement with Saint-Gobain India was signed in January 2024.Offer document, p.135 and p.137
AverageWho are its customers?Sales are spread across many builders, fabricators and projects, but there are no long term contracts and customers need not order again.
The evidence. Top ten customers gave 40.46% of revenue in the six months to September 2024 and the largest 9.44%; business is done on purchase orders.Offer document, p.29 and p.116
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Glass makers want to be paid ahead and the company holds stock for each project, so money gets tied up as orders grow.
The evidence. On the May 2025 call the company said suppliers must be paid fully in advance. The annual report notes higher receivables and inventory in FY26, and a ₹68.0 cr preferential issue followed in July 2026.Earnings call, May 2025, p.5; Annual Report 2025-26, p.43 and p.45
AverageCan it keep finding new work? The order book has grown and new double glazing orders keep coming, but work is won project by project and the order book covers well under a year of sales.
The evidence. Executable order book of about ₹55 cr at 30 June 2026, against ₹45 cr in May 2025, with new DGU orders in July and September 2026.Annual Report 2025-26, p.44; Earnings call, May 2025, p.3; Exchange announcements, 23 July and 29 September 2026, p.1
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot?Demand follows building activity, and margins move with order size, glass prices and how full the plants are.
The evidence. The offer document says margins vary with the size of each order and the use of machinery, power and staff; its EBITDA margin was 11.89% in FY23 and 35.77% in FY24.Offer document, p.99 and p.134
