About Encompass Design India: business, products and customers

Encompass Design India sells its own home linen and gourmet sauce brands online, trades farm waste and cotton products in bulk, and supplies goods and online selling services to rewards programmes and other brands. Its shares trade on NSE Emerge.

Encompass Design India, which calls itself ScaleSauce, started in Mumbai in 2010 as a fabric trader and later added online selling services for other brands. Since 2022 it has launched its own brands: Stoa Paris for bed sheets, curtains and table linen, Small Batch for chef-made sauces, QuirkLoom for home decor, and Blisshome for bedding in March 2026.

Bed linen is cut and stitched at its unit in Bhiwandi near Mumbai, while the sauces are made by partner cloud kitchens to the company's recipes. The brands are sold on the company's own websites and on Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, Zepto, Blinkit and TataCliq.

Read more about the business

The rest of the business is bulk trading of farm waste such as mustard straw and paddy bales, cotton and fabrics, and supplying goods to rewards and loyalty platforms. In FY26 the company's own brands gave about a third of sales, trading a little more than a third and services with loyalty platforms the rest; it listed on NSE Emerge in December 2025. On 13 October 2026 the company told the exchange about an acquisition; only the subject line was available, so what it bought is not known here.

From the red herring prospectus (November 2025), the FY26 results filing and IPO money reports, the May 2026 investor presentation and the product launch announcement of May 2026, and the acquisition announcement of 13 October 2026 (subject line only).

Balance sheet · Cash flow · Working capital

The company's own money, its net worth, has grown fast. Its loans are smaller than its own money. Last year the business brought in less cash than it showed as profit, so part of the profit is still to be collected. It spent more on assets and investments than the business brought in, and raised the rest from loans or shares. Customers take longer to pay than they did in FY24, which ties up more of the company's money in unpaid bills.

Is it a good business? Six questions

Each answer is about that one question, read from the documents; tap one for the evidence. Not a view on the shares.

Encompass Design India earns its money three ways: its own home linen and sauce brands sold online, bulk trading of farm waste and cotton, and goods and services for loyalty platforms and other brands.

Its weak spots are that a few customers give most of its sales, its brands are young, and a lot of money sits in stock.

AverageCan it set its own prices? The own brands are priced well above the mass market, but trading, a large share of sales, earns whatever the market pays.
The evidence. The company says it positions its brands 30% to 50% above the market. Trading of farm waste, cotton and fabrics gave about a third of FY26 sales.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.7 and p.16
WatchHow strong is it against rivals? Its brands are new and compete with old names and many online sellers, and it depends on the big marketplaces to reach buyers.
The evidence. The prospectus lists a nascent brand portfolio, limited offline presence, intense competition and dependence on platforms among its weaknesses and threats.Red herring prospectus, p.169 and p.177
WatchWho are its customers? The brands reach many shoppers, but a handful of large customers give most of the money, and their names are not disclosed.
The evidence. The top ten customers gave 71.50% of revenue in the six months to September 2025 and the largest 16.33%; in FY24 the largest gave 22.62%.Red herring prospectus, p.169 and p.170
WatchDoes it need a lot of money?Yes. Stock is held for months before it is sold, and much of the IPO money went on an office and paying off loans.
The evidence. The working capital cycle was 218 days at September 2025 against 58 days in FY24, with inventory at 179 days. ₹16.8 cr of IPO money went on office premises.Red herring prospectus, p.143; FY26 results filing, p.12 to p.14
AverageCan it keep finding new work?It has launched a new brand most years and keeps adding products and channels, but sales come order by order with no contracted book.
The evidence. Stoa Paris in 2022, Small Batch in 2023, QuirkLoom in 2024 and Blisshome in March 2026, with more than 2,800 products across more than ten channels.Investor presentation, May 2026, p.4 and p.15; Announcement, 11 May 2026, p.2
WatchDo good and bad years swing a lot? Results have changed a lot in a short time, from a loss to good profits, and the trading side moves with seasons and crop prices.
The evidence. The company reported a loss of ₹1.29 cr in FY23 and a profit of ₹10.79 cr in FY25. Trading fell from 51% of sales in FY25 to 36% in FY26.Red herring prospectus, p.142; Investor presentation, May 2026, p.7
